VOICES seeks to create a space for women’s experiences to be heard. It is a platform which centres women’s narratives – the different lives they lead, their unique situations, their challenges and dreams – amidst a world which constantly silences their opinions and polices their choices. Five women writers will be sharing their journeys through the brave telling of their own stories.

This year’s theme, “Woman I Dream”, explores the gaps between women’s aspirations and their lived realities. VOICES 2016 is produced by Penang Women’s Development Corporation-PWDC and curated by Yasmin Bathamanathan.
